My Own Personal Stalker Huh?....Ya...People Know Me
Saturday, June 02, 2007
This week we learned the importance of servanthood and why expecting a reward and/or recognition can corrupt the reason for performing the kind act. God will reward others who make themselves servants in order to serve Him and glorify His Kingdom. With that, some groups were then challenged to do a servant-like act directed toward their family every week this month w/ no expectation of a reward. Shortly after the game we had worship w/ none other than 'man w/ big hair' ........ :)......and we learned we shouldn't take fake guns to Washington....bad things happen.
Brett- "yes, gotcha Mr. booger"
Matthea- "omg...i cant believe Brett just did that.....thats so going on facebook"
Jess- "i wonder what i'm going to wear to work tomorrow?"
Thad!!...did you just kill Staci!?!?
ahhhh.....team 1 after getting killed by team 2....representin.

Deja Vu?....yes the "Pickle" is back, and she's more confusing than ever. JK, but seriously, you need to modify that game. Try using Airsoft guns
This week we watched a !!VERY!! sad short film titled, “MOST”. The film shadowed the decision God made to give up his son in order to save countless people who could care less or had no idea of what sacrifice was being made to help them. Later in the movie we saw that the decision to save the countless lives, gave many of the people a chance to change their ways and live happily ever after, showing the man his decision wasn’t in vain.
DIVE JESS!!!...YOUR SOO CLOSSSEEE...oh wait, your not.
See, the 3 of us got out intentionally to move the game forward...maybe you others could learn something from us.
Amanda, the base is a little to your left. I say you're safe but it's still too close to call...But I don't think we need the run anyway...Matthea, whats the score??

Hot-Box or Pickle?....how about Pickle Box ??
Last Wednesday we played a fun (and tiring) game of modified pickle, and we learned that it's played much better with trees (according to Amanda) . Jamie performed an awesome worship service followed by Brett teaching us that God rewards people who earnestly seek him and we should strive to use our gifts for the glory of Him...yes, even if your gift is being extremely good at chess, like me. :) Maybe next week, we can discuss being humble...
LOL...I just tossed this one in here....this is why you don't take your tank paintballing...haha snake eyes..sssssssss

Calling all Leaders

This past Wednesday we participated in a variety of games involving dodging balls and competitive stares (not really...but seriously). Then we talked a little about various leaders in the Bible and issued a challenge for our group to continue to step up and take on leadership roles. Finally, we eventually ( :) ) learned from Paul in Philippians that all we have nothing to boast about outside of a relationship with Christ, but that is worth more than we can comprehend!

Which one should I choose?
After a game of charades (thoroughly dominated by Team 2) we simulated a debate between four common worldviews (atheists, agnostics, christians, and typicals). We then dove into Philippians 2 where we learned we all have a long ways to go in terms of humble attitudes.
